Consistency in Training

We may all have different ideas about how the game should be played and different ways of getting the same results, but not different philosophies.  It’s all about consistency in training.
Anyone involved in sports knows there are many ways to skin a cat. Paramount is the fact that the players need to have a good understanding of what’s expected of them from the moment training begins until it ends. There should always be some level of problem solving in every training.

If you were to ask me my preferred method of coaching I would most likely tell you that I’m somewhere between Direct and Guided Discovery.  I enjoy presenting tasks for the players, but eventually I also want them to see the correct picture.

As coaches, with time and experience, we eventually find the “sweet spot”.

Once that happens, consistency in your plans will come naturally.
